What can write about the devices of characterization used in Othello?

Let's see. As this space is mine. I can write just about anything and everything I want.

I think devices of characterization makes the whole tragic play of Othello more dramatic. Someone like Shakespeare knew how to use his characters in the best manner possible. At times the unrelated events makes the scene even more interesting.



Othello characters darker and darker as the play goes on. And the funny bit is that every character is oblivious of the cunning plot.

In the end it turns out that even Iago was not left behind in this tragic incident. As his wife opens up his accounts of the ugly crime he had committed.

Every character in the play is going through SELF-TORTURE and it is truly annoying for the audience to see such a brutal and slow killing taking place. Killing of humans from inside out.

Brabantio died way before than her daughter. His character was not in favour of her daughter marrying the moor - the foreign defender of the country. He wanted her to marry an italian, a venecian or someone from her own lineage or even he would've liked her to marry Roderigo but not the moor.

Love is blind. And the other part of being blind is 'love is lethal'.
