Pakistan Government banned Youtube.com because it's video contained Caricatures of Prophet Mohammed and a movie which degraded Muslims

Do you think is this justified. Talk about Internet and Caricatures. One who knows how to use internet knows how to find things. It is not justified to turn against big internet site like Google.

It is actually a real problem. People, especially the experienced people if they ever come to know the fact that Internet is NOT in a cloak of invisibility it is just the Opposite.

Caricatures cannot be stopped. Internet is becoming bigger ever second. Is it possible to carry on this banning for day after day. There are virtually thousands of ways of using these sites still.
It seems the people who doesn't know how to use internet ban websites whether it's Youtube.com or Blogger.com (which was banned earlier) because they simply think that banning would be enough. It's not.


It's Internet!  : Each and every computer is connected. It's not possible to block anything on the internet. Guess It's True Or False!

It's here to stay.

It's just that banning these sites would make things difficult for students. Already suffering from acute deficiency a list of things. Add fuel to bucket of fire and Ban sites such as youtube.com where you get video tutorial of sites. From every software to basic computer tips to MIT to other university professors.

Good Luck to the country which thinks banning internet , banning Youtube (Ranked no.2 by Alexa.com) would make them successful in making a positive impact. Religious scholars should make a positive impact by coming on internet and making a positive change and not FEARING FROM EVERYTHING RELATED TO TECHNOLOGY.

Scholars seems to hate internet. Many of them are turning to internet but still the behavior seems negative.

In nutshell, Google search then needs to be banned too because I fear people will type in 'caricatures of ....' and they'd find millions that the image search of Google contains billions of images.

Google presented a solution, banning a certain region by adding a subdomain or running the site using a filter. 'Youtube.com.pk', I believe it is a valid solution. In a time where Pakistan needs to grow economically, banning sites or internet sites in general won't result in any productive outcome. Google can only accommodate if the government agrees. So, I urge Pakistan government to adopt policy like Youtube version of Indonesia, which has a filtered domain.
